The Beaches
Perhaps the biggest attraction you’ll find here is Anna Maria Island beaches (though avoid confusion: there is no actual Anna Maria Island Beach per se, but a beach by any other name…is still a beautiful beach!)
Close to Anna Maria Island vacation rentals and vacation homes, Anna Maria Island offers four main beaches. To start, Anna Maria Bayfront Park is a northern-end site close to shopping. It’s conveniently located, has stunning views, and has lots of things to do.
Coquina Beach, found at the southern tip of the island, is known for its Australian Pines and shady areas, and its laid-back ambiance. They have several picnic areas, a playground, volleyball, and a cafe/tiki with live music, fishing, boat ramps. Pavillions for family gatherings and casual weddings. Manatee Public Beach is famous for turquoise waters expansive beach space and miles to stroll in either direction. This Holmes Beach location has a beach café and concession, playground Tiki bar, and picnic tables. Finally, the Bean Point Beach is accessed from beach homes and walking paths and has become a “must-visit” on Anna Maria Island!

Plenty of Things to Do
It’s NOT, however, all about the beaches. There are plenty of other things to do on Anna Maria Island when you need a break from sun-worshipping, sand walking, swimming, or surfing.
Shopping and dining establishments abound. You can bike on the island. Ride the free trolley. See historic attractions like the Anna Maria City Jail, City Pier, and Historic Green Village. Hear live music at some dining destinations.
Some top boutiques, shops, and restaurants include the Pink & Navy Boutique, Three Island Monkeys, The Sandbar Restaurant, Rod & Reel Pier, and The Waterfront Restaurant.
